You'd think with more draws more money would be spent to raise the jackpot back to 3k to 4k per draw.

I'd think that more drawings mean players will probably spend more per week, but the same amount or less per drawing.

I checked it right before I posted that. Guess it wasn't updated yet.

It only went up $1000, and previously it was going up 3K to 4K per draw. You'd think with more draws more money would be spent to raise the jackpot back to 3k to 4k per draw.

The last increase for Idaho Cash was $1,000. This is right in line with the increases being approx. $1,000 per day before the changeover to daily drawings.

Idaho's Idaho Cash just went to a daily draw, and the last increase was ... wait for it ... ZERO. I don't know if Powerball is similar, but I hope not.

Also,.. take note of which day of the wk the Jackpots will be won after they go to a 3 drawings per wk..if not enough tickets are sold on Mondays as opposed to Weds Sats, ..to encourage people to play on Mondays,.. the Jackpots wil most likely be released on Mondays...just keep watch...

Not hardly, for I rarely play it..Posting about it, doesn't necessarily mean I'm spendin money on it!

If the past is prologue, then players will definitely wait until they think a jackpot winner has a good chance of being sold.

Selling fifty percent coverage of all 292 million combos means that a drawing has only a 50/50 shot at a player winning the jackpot. In many drawings it took more than 50% combo coverage before somebody won the jackpot. I doubt the extra weekly drawing will produce record breaking jackpots sooner. The odds will still be about 1 in 292 million, so we can expect one winning ticket for every 292 million that are sold. The chance that a jackpot will reach any particular size will continue to be the same as it has been because the odds aren't changing.

In terms of weeks the same number of drawing in three weeks will now be made in two. Drawing the same game three times a week will obviously increase the jackpot from Friday to Friday.

I think it's intellectually insulting.

I am not a fan of more draws because the jackpots will grow slower and maybe more winners at lower jackpots is in store for powerball. I think that I will play mega millions until they kill their game and go to more draws too. I have always had better luck with powerball but I want big pots not lower slower pots and less money to win too. Powerball you are stupid and your losing players soon too.-weshar75
