Hadn't paid attention before....so, I found a deck of cards(in the junk drawer of course) I use to play cribbage with...Low and behold there is the 8 in the middle of the diamonds with the deck I have, that is like Raven's posted pic !! Thanks for the educational tidbit ... Learn sumpin' new everyday on this here place.

There's another 8 diamonds. Two columns of red diamonds. At some point they made them in plastic and with blue diamonds. I always had trouble with the aces. Normally you have two A's at the top, but in the USA the ink is so expensive that they just put an A on one side. ... Maybe I'll book a patent for half printed cards.

A black jack costs less than a red jack, that's why it is blackjack.
