I'm just going to throw my two cents in. I don't it is that more women are winning, I think it is more women are playing it so the odds are to their favor. I remember back in the days before lottery was allowed in NC there was beach bingo parlors every where or the high dollar bingo parlor on the Cherokee Rez. Surprisingly the split between self-picks and quick picks is about half and half

I saw the same thing after I downloaded and searched the PDF file using the search tool included in Acrobat Reader software. That PDF file contains more than six hundred pages and goes back to May of 2012. It's way too big to search manually.

Ok, gotcha. I saw what you mean with the female names and the name of the store. Probably true that women don't go to liquor stores and other vice shops as often as men. In my cursory sample of half a dozen random pages I still tallied more male names than female, a ratio of about 3:2. Surprisingly the split between self-picks and quick picks is about half and half. I wonder if that old saying that 70% of tickets sold are quick picks is out-dated, or not broadly applicable to all games.

I went to Florida lottery media reports for 2020 and checked the entire year quickly and found a lot of women winning big, but on scratch tickets. There were several that won on the Triple Play jackpot game, but I did not find a single instance of any winning on the Fantasy 5 game.

I hope G5 comes through with a link because I couldn't find such a report either. The only official player demographics info I could find is on pages 84-85 of the latest financial report http://www.flalottery.com/exptkt/financialreport20.pdf which only shows slightly more men than women playing, but no break down of how much each gender spends on average.

Speaking of Men Gambling more, I remember it being said that a Compulsive Gambler would by Lottery Tickets from Grocery Stores with his Debit Card because he was hiding his Lottery Addiction from his wife. that for each win shows the store, amt, and whether it was a quick pick.

Yeah, there are a lot of qp winners bought at grocery stores. No mention of gender though. If I had to wager, I'd bet most winners were men because men gamble more.

I'll have to ponder the circumstances a bit more, to assess whut my Ole Noggin concludes, but right off the top of my thoughts... I'm a big fan of Florida Fantasy5. (Yes, Todd, I know there is a forum all about FF5 but this post is applicable to more than just FF5.)

I have noticed in the Florida Lottery's report of jackpot winners and retailer information that many Fantasy5 jackpots have been won by women. Most of them were Quick Picks bought in a supermarket!
