I've had that XP-400 for over 5 years now without issue... And another Epson before that for 3 or 4 years... It gets light duty as a general printer, scanner and photo copier... Also light duty printing several lottery tickets twice a week... I did have to glue a piece of felt on the paper guide to increase the accuracy of the automatic paper feeding of the lottery tickets... It seems that the tolerance of the tickets themselves vary by about 1/10th of an inch from batch to batch...

Anyway, n... [ More ]

I had two printers so far. Both from HP and both stopped working due to OS-upgrade and driver problems, just like the two scanners, one from HP and the other from Canon. I paid four devices, now have none. When I want to print a page, I go to a shop and ask them to print, pay the money they ask for. For the lotto, I use a pen.

I use an Epson XP-400, which is a few years old, color photo inkjet printer, to mark-up the pre-printed lottery supplied tickets in Cali and Missouri...

As others have said, look for a quality paper handling mechanism that will deal with paper widths of 3.25 inches or possibly slightly less depending on your states ticket dimensions... I only have experience with Cali and Missouri lottery tickets...

I suppose that it is only a problem of dimension. If the tickets fit in there, the machine should do it. Photo printers might be the best of all printers. You have a program, so try printing a ticket, how does it do
