Good books to study mostly cost over 70 dollars. Maybe you'll ask the professors and doctors or bachelors participating, the printing industry, the sales and so on, not to earn money with the books. Also make them available to everyone not just those sitting in class? I don't think that a pdf is a good solution because reading from the screen or working with the screen just might kill your eyes. - Generally speaking, I'd say: Make the books better and cheaper! . ...

All that money comes from the players and should go back to the players after deducing costs of organization (rake). That means that also taxes should not be in it. - If it was really clean, all money would come from the players and go back to the players.

You can always donate money yourself to a homeless shelter.

If you go to any major city, you will find someone on a street corner asking for money.

I would feel better losing if money went to help the needy.

There's an incredibly simple solution. Stop losing money by buying lottery tickets and just give 100% of what you used to spend on lottery tickets to help the homeless.

The poor play to try to escape poverty. Why not have lottery proceeds go to help the poor as the odds of winning is almost zero. On the other hand, the rich play for entertainment and not for escape.

Some people become 'homeless' because of gambling on the lottery. I think that the problem with any of these many programs is that it's hard to know if they really help the people that need them. There's so much corruption.

Is there a correlation between spending more money in education resulting in less homelessness? There are more homeless people today than say 50 years ago when public education and college education cost way less. If you force everyone to get college degrees in order to get any job, is this truely efficient? I don't think ducation budget has any influence on future homelessness. Each state decides how it uses lottery profits, and not all states put the money toward solely toward education. If you want to change your state's laws, you could start by contacting your state legislature. Or even better, run for office yourself.

Why is all the extra money going to education and not 50% for homeless programs and housing? Education isn't getting better. Putting money in homeless programs and housing will make a bigger difference as schools will be funded no matter what and those in K-12 probably already have places to live? Internet also can make education obsolete as if there is a desire you can learn whatever you want online when you have a home to stay in.
