Not all foster parents have their foster children because of love... I personally knew one adult of such an arrangement and he was not much more than a slave working for the family business while he was a minor adopted child... It is not all butterflies, unicorns and rainbows in foster land...

Seems we are now in the realm of cease and desist/restraining orders... Difficult yet not impossible to enforce...

Lol lol. An agreement promising never to ask for money again is very likely unenforceable. It is the equivalent of asking someone not to annoy you. Geeeesh.

The signatories would instead have to agree to waive all future financial claims against the winner in exchange for this pay off. They could still bug you for money 10 times a day. You cannot prevent their right to speak on any topic.

Hmm. It's interesting that his Parents were telling him stuff that NEEDED to be done, not superficial stuff like things they WANTED, like Luxury Cars, homes, vacations, flashy jewelry, etc, but if they are say in their 40's with Children, it does seem to reason they would be more interested in things that are NEEDED than WANTED...

A guy said he won a HUGE Lottery and collected Anonymously. But he made the mistake of taking his Adopted little Sister(He was adopted after his birth Parents gave him up for Adoption) on a huge shopping spree. She was like 10. Just a few minor details missing...size of the loan and agreed-to payback time/date....The about a month later aspect of asking for the loan amount back seems a bit short in time(again,unless agreed to by both parties). The reply of the borrower is very liberal of the person.

Do not become a bank for friends/family,should you win a huge jackpot.....EVER

Give only what finances you feel you may never retrieve... I would go with the new allotted amount for 2022 that is $16,000.00...Provided

Thank you for supporting me. Lots of HUGE Lottery Winners loan out money to Friends and then ask for the money back later and this resulting in tension and friction. It's a common occurrence with HUGE Lottery Winners. I don't get why People on this thread think I made this up.

I believe this has happen many times on different levels of a lottery win. So in my opinion this 'story' could very well be true. Some people think that because you have money, that any money given to them in a form of a 'loan' is some how a 'gift'. The moral of the story is: If you want to remain friends don't lent money out. If you do, have a contract or a promissory note that can hold up in court.

Nothing wrong with a made-up story as long it about something we can discuss. The moral of this story is something about loaning friends money and not getting paid back. However the part of the HUGE bLottery Winner could be played by single parent on public assistant or a laid-off factory worker.

If a lottery winner had lent money to his friend, his lawyer would have drawn up a contract with the details of repayment. The friend would not have been caught off guard. Also, a huge amount would not be expected to be paid back in one month.
