After an hour or so, it starts to feel like I'm losing sight of the end game.....playable numbers.

All the stats in the world won't make those numbers just pop up, it takes some experience actually playing and losing.

I used to spend alot of time on it but then started to not enjoy it as much.

It's better to take breaks when a point is reached. Software helps -- paper --- your EYES.

I had to make some adjustments in my workout because I am playing multiple games.

For my hardest game, now I take

15 minutes-The task is to update my paper charts. Two sheets, perhaps adding a third for Lottery America Combinatorics

take a break.

15 minytes-Excel update of the PEAKS chart, or what I call the Ice pyramids, or icicles.

So far that is my fastest with a decent comprehension of whats going to happen.

If i do nothing else than so be it.

In excel I look at all the patterns and combinatorical variables. Since I combined them, I have to update them all manually.

But excel is so slow, and I have been wanting to hurl the computer at the wall a little to often recently.

There has to be some amount of time limit.

Otherwise you cant gauge if you are improving, or worsening.

There already is the time constraint of the cutoff time, so you already have a system imposed time limit.

You only have three days for a workout for MM after the tuesday draw, and the limit is four days after Friday.

I dont actually put a certain time limit on figuring it out as far as pick 3 goes. I find that ideas might come at any time of day so i write them down on a note pad and back test them when i have time. I find that in the picking analysis i must find ideas that agree with each other in order to get a playable set of numbers that have a chance of comming out. Just my thoughts tho.

I just want everyone to know, I got confused by my own poll. I put 4 hours as being TOO long, when I meant to put 3 hours as enough time.

Of course in Pick 3, I try to get everything done in 1 hour, and then usually play the numbers two draws. No way I am spending 6 hours in one day for pick 3.

Although If i owned my own bodega, I might consider it.

I cant get my excel charts updated in less than an hour. I extended it to 1 hour and 11 minutes so as to not put too much undo pressure on myself.

I have a nice music playlist as $tats suggested, and then I kind of know where I should be at a certain time.

But lately I cut out the music, so my thoughts could flow more naturally.

I share your feelings. I'm positive many feel the same way.

There was a time when people were more free with the knowledge, information, programs, charts, and Excel spreadsheets here. Then the things that was posted here started showing up on web pages and forums that didn't get it from the poster. It didn't help that someone put a lot of the info in book form and sold it on eBay and Amazon as their own.

I never actually got to the 4 59 mark.

It was a goal I had temporarily but I abandoned it as I just couldn't stay awake long enough.

Having a similar problem now. Tried to do the second part of my workout last night, but couldn't stay awake.

Had to do it in the morning. One challenge of that technique, is that in the morning I dont have fresh in my mind the patterns I saw.

Quick Picks are to EASY anyway. No challenge.

According to the Hitchhikers Guide it takes exactly 227.55 years or 65535 hours to correctly predict pick 3 lottery numbers. Coincidentally 65535 just so happens to be the highest address on an 8 bit bus. Which is alot like a destination for data on a bus

I was getting super inspired while doing my workout recently and told myself, I am going to do a FIVE hour workout, because the JP is a massive 1.5 million dollars!!
