Every state has at least one lottery claim center, and most have more than one. Jackpots typically need to be claimed at some subset of claim centers, often at only at one particular center that's likely to be where HQ is.

The reason you shouldn't buy tickets in NJ is that any taxable win will require filing a return in NJ, and possibly paying more than you would at home.

So I was in New Jersey today and bought a power ball qp. While driving home I wanted to look up where I would have to go if I hit the jackpot for the fun of it. If i am reading right there is no 'place' to go, can only be filed by mail with form? Says could be a while till they process the request ?!?
