There is a pub where you can play lotto 1 km from here. Beer, pool, lottery and other. It's the only pub with lotto that I have ever seen. Maybe the only? Are there others

If the commissionaire gets 5% then a tiny fraction will go back to taxes, unless that was declared taxfree by the state.

If I locally would receive 5% discount:

109*1.25*5*0.95

=647.1875 with discount at the end of the year, 5 lines per drawing, weekly and extra.

109*1.25*5

=681.25 without discount

109*1.25*5*0.05

=34.0625 savings a year

I used to play around 24 to 28 lines, I believe.

That would have been like 5*34.06 discount for a year.

Stores get around a 5% in ticket sales in commission and if the owner gave employees the 5%, $10 in play would cost $9.50. Saving 5 bucks on a hundred isn't exactly a windfall either.

You're probably right about Rcb knowing player habits better because there is huge different between standing in a line while people are playing and selling tickets for hours every week.

Noticed a large drop in ticket sales from Saturday drawings to Monday. It averaged about $12 million drop after a jackpot win and that's a significant drop if more than 30% of ticket sales a are self picks.

I work at a little convenience store at a fuel station. I only make an hourly wage. No commission.

If I buy a lottery ticket, I pay what the ticket cost.

On the old Powerball website in the FAQ section they addressed computer picks:

I bought QPs tonight. Didn't have time to work at it.

Good point though. If 70% of the winners are QPs and 70% of the sales are people buying QPs that tells us more money is lost on QPs.

If we have 100 people buying tickets. 70 buy QPs and 30 buy self picks, 30 lose on the self picks while 69 lose on QPs.

I said, QP or self pick, doesn't matter much. With jackpot odds the way they are, it doesn't matter much.

Its not the wheels that suck.

You cant really rely on wheels. Tight wheels are more effiecent than loose wheels.

If you play a two power number wheel, and the guarentee is a 3 if 5 if you get 3 of your wheeled numbers INCLUDING both the power number correct.

Well no SH!T Sherlock.

A wheel offers NO improvement whatsoever in that scenario.

Buy a (one) ticket. QP or self pick doesn't matter much. You probably won't win. But, it's a guarantee you won't win without a ticket (except saving the $2).

There's been many stories on LP about people that bought a ticket, forgot about it, and later learned they won thousands or millions.

We had an LP member that had a recently drawn numbers system using 23 numbers that matched all five drawn numbers. However that was before tickets were $2 and 70 numbers. Looking at the odds against winning something or even the odds against just matching one number should be enough understand buying one QP and hope you were in the right place at the right time might be the smartest way to play .
