I can't recite off the top of my head particular occurrences of this happening, but depending on the size of the matrix and number of balls drawn, the odds of it happening are not astronomical. For example, in a 5/36 game, the odds are about 1 in 579 that all five numbers have the same first digit. Add more balls to the matrix and the odds get a little worse: in 5/43 the odds are about 1 in 1091.

There are 252 different ways to draw 5 numbers out of 10, and 210 ways to draw 4 numbers. Even if the results have been 4 or 5 numbers from the same tens grouping on a dozen occasions it's still unlikely that the same set of 4 or 5 have been repeated.

Because there are about 11.2 or 12.1 million possible 5 number combinations for MM PB the chances of having 4 or 5 numbers from the same tens grouping is pretty small, so I doubt that it's happened very often.

Multiple hits within a decade of lotto numbers depends a lot on the game. For example: Florida Fantasy 5/36 has had 7,557 draws. Of the numbers 1-9 there have been 5 draws where all 5 numbers were from 1-9. There have been 8 draws where all 5 numbers came from 10-19, and just 2 draws where all 5 numbers came from 20-29. Then from 30-36 with only 7 numbers to draw from, there has never been an all 5 from those 7, but there has been 102 draws where 4/5 were from 30-36.

Last night was 4 of 5 in the 30s . Now I know on singles it could happen. Has it ever done 5 of the same? Curious.

When the fourth digit went to that number I was like come on you have to be kidding me.
