I doubt the megamillions group sold enough tickets to cover that 12 mil cash value for last Friday's jackpot win. Being so close to a previous win. That's the risk of the reseting the initial jackpot too high. A jackpot hitting back-to-back isn't out of the realm of possibilities.

Good find. It's more frequent when the matrix is smaller for sure. The likelihood of it happening also depends on number of unique combos purchased.

I wondered why anyone would bother playing right after a win when the jackpot is reset, but then I remembered many people purchase advance plays for 10 drawings in a row, so that might account for some of the sales right after a win.
