Because you said just as the numbers drawn came out I assuming you're asking about a 5/something jackpot game or a lotto type 6/something game. The entire history of the 5/36 Florida Fantasy 5 had 10,486 drawings and without any repeats, it only represents 2.78% of the possible outcomes. With almost 300 million PB and over 300 million MM combinations, those results don't show very much.

In my experience use the numbers as they came out tend to work out best. The thing I find is finding out the most effective amount of game history to use generally effects how you get better statistics. I generally create a spreadsheet that determines the number of draw history to use by determining the longest number out in any position. Hope this helps.
