Go to the Play store on your Android phone and search for official Florida lottery app and read all the privacy and sharing disclosures and then decide if some states may keep track of people with their apps.

Just like The IRS, Lottery Officials have to perform a cost/benefit analysis to determine whether or not to go after somebody they think is cheating. The IRS knows how much it costs them to audit someone or a small business. If they think they'll collect more money than it would cost them to audit a taxpayer, then they'll very likely perform an audit. Otherwise they wont.

It'd be crazy for any given state lottery to go after someone they think made $100 illegally if it would cost the Lottery... [ More ]

Yes. For every game I have played, little Irish fairies (hired by lottery officials) switch out my ticket to a losing one. I have tried to appease them with outdoor fairy circles and flute music but that angered the leprechauns.

I was stalked by the lottery. I had won a free ticket for the amazing feat of missing most of the numbers. When I redeemed my free ticket, it lost by not matching any numbers. That was my first clue my numbers were being thwarted. Then one day when I was coming home to my trailer, I was startled to see men wearing jackets that said LOTTERY PLAYER STALKING AGENCY rummaging through my papers. They absconded with my computer that held all of my secret lottery calculations. That was my second clue.

The Mass Lottery not only watched them, they prosecuted them.

The Massachusetts Lottery also offered that online game with a flaw in it the some high rollers from Michigan were legally able to exploit. The Mass Lottery shut the game down as a result. G5

My vote was No but I want to add something, it seems that in Massachusetts an inordinate number of 'wise guys' have won jackpots, just perhaps the Mass. lottery watches them.

Was looking at the top pick-3 predictors list and in the past 30 days out of the 8 players showing a profit, only one won a significant amount of imaginary money by wagering $13,000 to win $5000. Even if they wagered real money at the same store, I doubt any lottery would stalk that type of play.

There is a pick-4 predictor with a lifetime of $9000 wagers to win $69,000, but real winnings like that would require a W-2G and at the worst the lottery might investigate the winner for being a 10%e... [ More ]

No, the nickel and dime player is not even a blip on their radar.

Gramps with his loaf of bread, gas, and 5 QPs. He's cool.

Granny getting her dozen eggs and grandkids ages. No problem.

That guy/gal who just left the office getting a 12 pack, a hot pocket, 20 QPS and 20 scratch-offs. Nothing to worry about.

If anything once you start playing 10-25 large (say Steve Player money) every draw, you may raise some eyebrows.
