It will be interesting to see if the winner was directly effected by Hurricane Ian or not...

Could be someone who was passing through or someone sent to the area to help with cleanup/restoration. I'm hoping it's somebody that owned a home in Fort Myers that suffered property damage.

It's going to be a while before anybody knows anything. The winner could lay low or use the 90 day anonymity law Florida recently enacted. G5

I was disappointed I didn't win, but I'm happy to see someone who might really need it get it. They'll be able to build the home of their dreams just about anywhere with that amount of money.

The store that sold it also gets a commission, which if needed, they will be able to use to repair the damage and maybe add to it.

The Florida Lottery is reporting that one of the two jackpot winning MegaMillions tickets for last night's drawing was sold at a 7-Eleven in Fort Myers. While that's certainly a nice turn of events given that Hurricane Ian flattened Fort Myers a little more than two weeks ago, I would guess that the winner(s) will need/want anonymity more than ever.

I'm wondering how much pressure might be applied to the winners to help out residents that lost everything to the storm. G5
