It sounds like you only used one set of numbers from each RNG which is a really small sample size. You might try generating 10 sets of numbers with each RNG and then checking each set against 20 drawings.

Keep trying and see what happens. I am to tracking Powerball numbers with terminal quick picks along side LP quick picks.

I also plan to do this same study later with MegaMillions. The results should be interesting.

On another note, there is another random number general site that uses atmospheric noise to pick numbers. They claim to be the most random in the world. They also are set up so numbers can be picked for various lottery drawings including powerball.

The site is http://www.... [ More ]

I understand. Since 2 numbers seemed to be the median hit from lp qps, I wanted to try using 3 lp qps and take 2 numbers from each qp. Tried it with VA cash 5 last night...3 qps and 2, 2 and 1 number taken from each qp in order for 1 play. I got 2 numbers and won my $1 back.

What I have been trying to do is determine if another method of picking numbers will get better results than the lottery terminal quick pick most players use. I did a similar study previously on Lotto, Powerball, and MegaMillions in which I picked a static set of numbers and played the same numbers draw after draw and along side a different quick pick each drawing. On all three games, I actually got better results from the random quick picks than I did from playing the same numbers every draw.

Nice analysis.

The main thing that makes Lottery Post's Quick Picks Generator better than a lottery terminal is that Lottery Post uses a strong cryptographic random number generator, which is more truly random than the psuedo-random number generator in a lottery terminal.

So the numbers coming out of a lottery terminal will tend to follow patterns more and will tend to generate some numbers more than others ( clumps of similar numbers), whereas Lottery Post will tend to generate better r... [ More ]

Thanks!

I'm thinking of doing a study on LP quick picks for Powerball. One thing that would be interesting to see is if one method works for both sets of numbers.

Would using LP or terminal get better results on the pick 5 and Powerball, or will LP do better on the 5 and terminal on the Powerball? It will interesting to see.

I just finished a test of quick picks from the lottery terminal and Lottery Post. What I did was play a terminal quick pick and a Lottery Post quick pick side by side for 20 drawings on Louisiana Lotto(6/42 minimum 3 to win) and got some interesting results.

The average number of matches per drawing on the terminal quick pick was 0.5 while on the Lottery Post quick pick it was 1.2. In other words, Lottery Post quick picks did better on matching numbers than terminal quick picks.

The medi... [ More ]
