Hi Stat. I don't really consider a couple of supposedly smarter QPs every now and again as serious play and the minimal winnings are not really worth posting about to be honest. I gave up on covering all numbers every draw because it was starting to get expensive to just have 1 or 2 hits. There have been some big QP Euromillions winners here though so maybe you're right about more forthcoming UK terminals.

I play both QP's and SP's. When I play SP's I just get my numbers from LP's RNG.

Last week I won $3 on Tx Lotto with a QP, and won $7 on 2 Step with a SP from LP's RNG.

With the odds of the jackpot games, I don't care how I win any $$, I win it both ways. And it is a fact at least here in TX, and most likely everywhere that QP's win more often than SP's because most people buy QP's.

This is why I stick to 3-ball and 4-ball numbers games. You win more with better odds. I live in CA and do not play their lottery because they use RNGs. When I go visit my parents in Virginia (a ball state) for Christmas every year, I play the same numbers every year for the Christmas Day drawings. It should come out to $25 worth of tickets.

Now granted this is not the best format of what I have, if you can see where the draw numbers are, the 1 is the number to follow and look for. Carefully analyze where the winning digits are at. Then look for doubles and others. so 61 came out. there is a 44. that is one. then look for other numbers as well. it takes time.

I'd say it dependz on whut numberz comprized the 51% of Probabilities .

It's in the math, cause and effect, or whatever else it's called when 5 out of 42 numbers are drawn. For starters, by default 37 number will not be drawn and those 37 numbers create 435,897 out of the total of 850,668 possible outcomes. From there it's simple math by dividing the former by the latter and 51.24173% of all the possible outcomes will not match even one of the drawn numbers.

I did a few experiments in which I played the same set of numbers along side of a random quick pick over a bunch of drawings and found the quick picks did better.

I've also been playing with the LP quick pick generator to see if I get better results. Random.org also has a quick pick generator worth looking at.

It was a LP vs terminal picks test (computer vs computer).

Nothing positive or negative IMHO about it.

It is what it is.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. It's all results based meaning if the generated numbers produced more right numbers, then those QPS were better. But at any given time, a different draw, the results would change due to factors beyond anyone's control.

Now that the L ottery O fficialz was explained we'll need to see which game the comprehensive study was made on. For starters IMO, a one drawing test should be the same number of chances as the overall chance of winning any prize. And then how many tests need to be conducted.

I'm pretty sure the test requires actual lottery terminal generated quick picks so testing the overall chance of winning (1 in 24) for either MM or PB is going to cost almost $50 a drawing. Most 5/39 games are are 1 in... [ More ]

If I remember that's a short set results oriented test, only worth the trust what you put in it.

It wasn't done with thousands of QPs over an extended period like a comprehensive study.

There was no data we could look at, breakdown, or interpret ourselves.

And the whole idea was based on luck of the draw (computer vs computer).

DB is 100% correct. The lottery terminal random number generator is capable of producing the same result more than once. It has no feature that checks if something has been generated before. The programming is not much different than what's in any type of electronic device capable of producing random numbers, e.g., your phone, tablet, laptop, graphing or scientific calculator, hand held game, etc. It is unlikely that it will generate a repeat in a game with millions of combinations, but not impo... That's untrue. Whoever told you that doesn't understand how the computer based random number generator works on the ticket printer. It don't store previously generated lines or search a central database to see if a line was generated before. It can repeat.

When there are over 302 million combinations in a game and only a fraction of those are sold, then it's very feasible there won't be 2 or more of the same one sold, except for maybe just the 1st 5 numbers.

That's why I laugh at some of the people that cry rigged or the one that says he shut it down . Some just can't grasp the enormity of how many combinations are in PB and MM.
