Why stop there? Why not have a lottery where the winning numbers can be negative, irrational or even complex? Dr. San might be onto something.

Tonight's winning numbers are 2+i, , 3/11, square root of 14, and -33.

Although lotteries use whole numbers, natural numbers or integers... What ever you want to call them... Doing any statistics and/or probability calculations would involve fractions... Although, I suppose you could always round up or down to the nearest whole number again if you don't care about accuracy...
