I'm assuming that CD said that because in Canada, Lottery Winnings are not taxed. In Canada, you get the entire amount of money just for you, so say you win $200 Million. There is no We'll take $66 Million for taxes, like it is here in the US. You just plain win $200 Million.

Thank you for clarifying that the winner is getting $628.5 Millions after taxes. I got my roughly $500 Million after taxes from an estimate I saw before the Jackpot was over 2 Billion. Wow. $628.5 Million is definitely a life changing amount of money, in fact, that could set multiple entire Families for life

I am not Tasha/Karen. Also, thank you for clarifying that the guy in the news is not the Winner, but is the store owner. I honestly didn't know. in fact, at first glance, I thought the man in BLUE was the winner, and he's actually a Lottery Employer! LMAO

Never won $100 million or even $1 million but seriously doubt they hand those winners bags of cash. Next time I see someone in packing heat in Walmart or any store, should I assume they won a large lottery jackpot and are carrying the cash

At the time I wrote the original OP, the Florida Lottery Website said no one had won. Turns out someone did win, and the winner turned out to be someone who looks to be about 60, so definitely not a 20 year old young man, so he's definitely got a lot of life experience, but I can't see him having guns and shooting/drawing to protect himself. He'd be wise to pack and move and hire bodyguards to protect him.

Whoever wins the $1.9 billion(Roughly $500 million after taxes) better be buying guns and be packing their bags and getting the hell out of dodge if they live in one of the many states that require Winners to come forward publicly in order to claim the prize.
