It will help generate revenue for more good causes in the specific regions (E.G. The Eden Project in Cornwall will get a boost in funding from the South West Lottery or the Scottish Children's Lottery can donate more money to help the sick children) and give people in a certain region a better chance of winning their region's individual Jackpot game. It would help if you explain why you think a country where the absence of unified national gaming laws has resulted in more than fifty different sets of gambling regulations that vary greatly from jurisdiction to jurisdiction is something to emulate.

This debate is asking you guys if the Lottery in the UK should go down the same route as the States and be regionalised with each region having their individual games and Scratch-cards whilst continuing to play The National Lottery games (E.G. Lotto and EuroMillions) just like how each US state that has a Lottery plays PowerBall and Mega Millions.
