The MM jackpot is $355 Million and PB is at $147 Million so if I HAD to choose, it would be obviously for the higher jackpot. The secondary prize payoffs create logical choices, but the question here is if you could only play one .

I put Powerball because of the game behavior here in Michigan.

For example I set the date for January 1 2022 and the prize amount as 25k and over and since then there have been

2 $1 million dollar prizes on the MM

1 $50k prize

3 $40k prizes

1 $32k prize and

7 $30k prizes

for a total of 14 big non-jackpot prizes in the last 15 months

With the same settings Powerball prizes in Michigan since then are as follows

12 $1million prizes

2 $500k priz... [ More ]

Most times I play both but recently with Lotto being so high I've been playing extra $$ on Lotto. Just playing MM along with Lotto because the jackpot is higher than PB.

I say the MegaMillions. It's personal preference for me and I seem to win more on it. I won 3 times consecutively on MM recently. I only buy one ticket with the megapiler when I feel like playing . I like that the megapiler goes up to 5 times .

Considering the poor Fantasy 5 secondary prizes, the pick 5 games may be a better choice. The odds of winning the same $50,000 prize playing PB is 1 in 913,129 compared to 1 in 100,000 playing pick 5. And a $2 straight win pays $100,000.

Good question. I always play for 2nd place so like the mm multiplier. But I favor PB because my grandmother used to play it for $1 when it first started. She would win her money back about every 2nd or 3rd try.

Definitely megamillions. The second prizes alone are worthy of consideration (powerball limits second prizes to 1 million or 2 million with power play while Megamillions has can go up to 5 million with megapliers.) Also in most draws there's a winner for second prize with megamillions more so than powerballs, it seems.

I'm the one who is quitting Florida's Fantasy Five because they are changing to twice a day draws. Trying to decide which to play next. I live in a non lottery state so I drive down once a month to play. Can't decide which one to play. I like the tradition of Saturday night draws, but maybe I need a break from the norm
