So the odds don't change , but there are odds for everything

possible within the lottery and you can choose to play at

one of those odds positions and by doing so be playing at

better or worse odds of winning then the person ahead and

behind you in line.

Lowers the odds, dumb. Buying more tickets increases our chances of winning but the games odds don't

change. It's not like you can combine the tickets as each line played has the exact odds of winning as any

other line. Buying one line gives us the best bang for the buck so to say which can be proved mathematically

but unless we go large and I mean very very large then it's more what a person can afford to loose.

That's where I'm spending my time. I did do something different today/tonight.

During the hail storm when the internet went down I started writing in the Vtraks.

Whether I'll use them or not remains to be seen, but I'll leave them in the program for now.

If you take it personal, that's on you.

It reminded me of a conversation I had about a photo finish and place bet payoffs at a racetrack. When I commented it makes no difference who was first or second, the place bet will pay the same, I was told if a long shot won the race and the favorite ran second, the place payoffs would be lower for the favorite . Right or wrong the track made the final decision on how much to pay.

Figured as much. No disrespect to to BobP, I didn't read it. And didn't have to to see where this thread was headed after the terms ugly episode and defeat got thrown around.

The only people who would consider it ugly were those who didn't agree with the mathematicians, statisticians, and ASM who explained the odds. Yet, the poster couldn't disprove or deny what the math pros said, and never tried.

The odds do not change regardless of how many tickets you purchase. What does change is your chances of winning. The more tickets you buy, the more chances you have of winning a prize. Odds and chances are totally different things. This is what some people don't get...
