When the news first broke in March that Fantasy5 was going to have an extra drawing per day, FF5 players were posting in the Fantasy5 Players thread that jackpots would suffer as a result of adding the midday draw. As the chart above concisely shows, now we know by exactly how much they were reduced.

The Pick 5 straight pick is a far better play instead of the midday Fantasy 5. Pick 5 has 1:100,000 odds at winning $50,000 but no secondary prizes. The midday Fantasy 5 has 1:377,000 odds at winning between $60,000-$80,000 but you have secondary prizes. The evening Fantasy 5 game is still viable but the top prize is about 25% less than the prior version with one draw.

Does anyone know about cash pop. I play in afternoon but would like to play so I get late night or even the AM.,but I only get whatever game goes off next. Do I mark consecutive days(just thought about that- but I can't find answer in directions. I won 500. last week on # 10 aft.noon, today Apr.18 the # 10 came out in 1st 3 games..nice but I didn't know how to get there. Thanks

If and when I play PowerBall I'm playing for a second place win because the odds are 11 million to one to win 2 million. (If you buy the Power Play).

2 million would be life changing for me so I don't feel the need to focus on whatever the current jackpot might be. G5

Although I don't have any suggestions for playing Florida Pick5 as I never play it, here's some info regarding the new two draws per day format.

After adding daytime drawings they killed the charm of the game. On the brighter side I stopped playing and savings $ 20 a day. I used to play $ 10 my Numbers and $ 10 quick picks since last 10 years. Hit 4 numbers 11 times never won the jackpot. I guess I am winner by not playing it. Still wonders what if my numbers hit. I am thinking of playing pick 5 instead. Any suggestions
