Less numbers, less frequently. Don't scratch anymore, or 'got rid of my fleas'. Play for fun mostly now. Still win. Still lose. All in the name of fun. Some say if you bet why not bet big, but if you bet big like that and say win big once a year, how much are you really winning in the end? So for fun, and hopefully maybe I'll bet big on one at the right time. No matter. Nature always has a balance.

I play straight with front ,back. It pays $600.

I hit. 678 last week played str/box with fp,bp. $290 for str/box and $100 for fp,bp. Total of $390.

Sometimes I just play bp,fp without anything else.

A coworker told me the actual back up bet is to play front and back pair and on box. Made sense too unless we choose the three digits in any order and then create a straight combo. With the change to $600, will a $1 front and back pair pay $60 and box pay $100 or $200

Nm has a bunch of repeat pairs in pick 3 and 4. The prize pool has been modified for the front pair back park at $50 a piece. I spent $3 today on the 678 straight box with the front pair back pair option. I hit $390. That's $290 for the straight box and a extra hundred for the back and front pair bet.

The new payout are nice. $600 on a straight pick 3 with the front pair back pair option. I hit that recently with the 777 draw.

I was averaging 20 All or Nothing predictions every drawing with no $500 winner for a couple years. The prize ratio is under 50% so it looks like the only way to show a profit is to win a jackpot. IMO, if it's not fun, don't play and having fun predicting is probably why there are more threads in the Pick 3 Forum. The Systems Forum isn't far behind either.

Currently playing a couple lines of pet numbers on KY's 4/35 + 1/25 Cashball 225 and get two or three pick 4 50/50 QPs.... [ More ]

Personally, I wouldn't touch scratch-offs, at least not here in FL

The odds or so much worse than the drawing games and there is major inconsistencies in them as well

For example, there is the Loteria game #1530 where the top prize is $50K with odds of 1: 2.6 million(!)

while just a few spots away is game #1523 Cash Blast which also has a $50K top prize and battling 1: 702,000 odds

Clearly, the 2nd game would be the smarter decision in this scenario, but why would I do that when... [ More ]

The only game I ever had good success was Pick 3, and to a lesser degree All or Nothing. But when Tx went to 4 draws a day I quit Pick 3 because playing 4 draws a day would make the cost to play too high to have a chance to win more than lose.

With jackpot games, the odds are way too high, even games like Cash 5, to make any consistent profit, and for any system be consistently successful. So these days, I play jackpot games for the entertainment and hope to catch the big win.

The gambler's fallacy, but that applies more to horse racing, casino games and sports betting than to lottery games that usually have at least a 50% edge. But even with a much lower house edge, is gambling rational ?

Haven't noticed any lately but in the past there were LP members that preached against playing lottery games giving all sorts of reason why the majority of players will lose in the long run. That being said, never really understood their point because I'm pretty sure if members... [ More ]

I analyze the trend. NM lately has a bunch of repeat digits. It's not changing much. It could be the computer chip,programming whatever but the numbers are tracking each other. Sums,roots,total. The triplet 984 has hit three times in different order in the p4. Each state may be different.

I don't doubt that you're alwayz synchronized . I take you at your word when you speak about how you personally use Probability Math to see eVeRyThAng . It's just that, I always leave space for I don't know what I don't know . It has served me well. It keeps me open and receptive to the idea that though I can see much, I may not be seeing it ALL.

but I propose that you relegate that kind of thinking to when you become omniscient and have exhausted all other possibilities with your techniques, strategies and methods. Though you may have had moments of synchronous harmony between your analyses/workouts and lottery results, entertain the idea that your inability to see, interpret and predict with more accuracy is because of you and not the Lottery.

It isn't just the switching over to RNG either. All the tweeking over the years make the games less attractive.

Take here in Illinois for example, 7-8 years ago you could buy a lotto ticket for a buck and get two lines in play. Rollovers for each drawing were around 250k, sometimes even 500k.

These days you buy a lotto ticket for two bucks and get one line in play. Rollovers are 150k period. (it doesn't matter how large the jackpot rises)

Same here. My state switched to RNG back in Dec. so I haven't played much since then but I'm still keeping up with my charts. TBH I haven't noticed much of a difference in the things I track. But then I don't keep track of combos, pairs, sums, or some of the usual stuff.

Since they went to RNG drawing for all the lotteries I don't play much at all.

I still follow our local lotteries to see if I can find some kind of pattern or glitch in them, but so far I see nothing that would encourage me to play them with any regularity.

One good thing that may have came from them changing to RNG it probably cut back on the addiction to it for a few of us. lol

Keeping my Draw Data up to date and fiddling with a few queries is pretty much it right.

Wow...I thought I noticed that Michigan wasn't paying out as much which is one of the reasons I cut back.

Looks like I was correct because the last time I remember the payout was 65% but now it has dropped to 60% !

Yes. I moved from a state with a ball lottery to a state with an RNG lottery in 2017. I refuse to play lotteries whose numbers are determined by an RNG. I also avoid lotteries other than numbers games because I believe the lower-prize payouts are heinously low. Therefore, I only play the lottery once a year: when I go back to the ball state to visit my parents for Christmas. I play the same set of seven 3-ball and five 4-ball numbers for the daytime and nighttime Christmas Day drawings.

Agreed, a second-chance drawing on scratchers is value added to me, as long as the second-chance prize is $$$! Florida Lottery offered a second chance on the Gold Rush scratch-offs, and the prize off ered was a trip to Vegas. No thank you; show me the money

Same here; I haven't won any big $, but enough to make an occasional play using profits. I have also cut down on impulse buying of scratchers. It used to be that I would pop in to a convenience store, and instead of taking any change back, I would buy a scratcher or two. Now I just keep the change.

I would be tempted to put down some big $$ on a draw game if there was a playable bias, but I haven't seen one lately...
