It pays $250 for the straight (381) and $40 box (138,183, 318, 381, 813, 831). If you play $1 straight + $1 box = $2, the payout would be $500 straight, $80 box for $580.

For doubles (112, etc) the box payout is $80 on a .50 bet, $160 on a $1 bet. The straight payout stays the same as a 6 way.

Can anyone help me understand the difference between the way these two prizes are awarded?

I am pasting a picture out of the lottery post website.

I know that when I play , eg, 381 no matter how these numbers are 1,3,8 that is called box and it pays 80 if you hit. with that said, how about the other way prize?

Straight + box (6-way) straight pays 290.

Could anyone explain what that means with an example if you will?.
