I do change the PowerBall number on each of my five lines....

I mark the QP box in each panel for The PowerBall number and let the terminal pick it for me. Occasionally the terminal has chosen the same PowerBall number for two different lines, but that hasn't happened a lot. G5

Seems like you might as well play the double play too, if you're happy with $10 million. It would only be a $20 ticket.

And I'm sure you change the powerball on each of your 5 lines. Nothing to lose, and 4 extra chances to win the jackpot.

Buying the same play for the same draw multiple times is an even better way to maximize your lotto losses.

Unless you match four numbers and The PowerPlay number is 4 (like happened to me). At that point the multiplier effect becomes 20X.

And you know what? Players will lose with just about every single ticket they buy anyway.

But you're correct buying a $15 PowerPlay ticket with 5 identical lines is a good way to max out losses. But then I can afford to lose $15 on a ticket like... [ More ]

Compared to Mega Millions, Powerball is stingy with the multiplier.

If you want to maximize your lotto losses during your lifetime, then increase your ticket cost with the powerplay.

Buying the same play for the same draw multiple times is an even better way to maximize your lotto losses.

Interesting. I never knew this. I think one of the games does not post the bonus until after the drawing. I could be wrong though.

Don't look here at The Lottery Post if you see an article about someone winning 5 times with one ticket! I aint sayin' nuthin to nobody should it actually happen and that includes posting here about it!

I'm located in Florida, so I might be able to invoke Florida Statute 24.1051 which allows players of prizes of $250,000 or more to claim anonymously for 90 days.

In a way it shows that the PB jackpot amounts get to over 150M pretty fast, thanks to the additional Monday drawing.

When I see an article about someone winning the PB five times on one draw, I know where to look .

I always add the Powerplay on PB knowing very well that it maxes out at 2M for the second tier.

I add the megaplier on MM more willingly knowing the second tier amount could be 5M .

The 10X multiplier is only in play when the advertised jackpot annuity is $150 million or less .

There are a total of 43 Balls (when the 10X multiplier is available) but the majority of them are 2X. There are couple of 3X's, 4X's and 5X's and one 10X when the jackpot is 150 million or less. Right now, 10X is unavailable. Also the second place prize with The PowerPlay option is a set prize of two million, it makes no difference what the actual PowerPlay number is if you match the 5 white bal... [ More ]

10X odds are 1:43, not going to see it much with those odds.

So far in 2023, Powerball has drawn the 10X Powerplay only once and that was the draw on 5/10.

At this rate it could end up only getting drawn once in 2023.

What are your thoughts
