I have always disagreed with state lotteries putting it back into their general fund(so to speak) I would like to see them add it back into that particular game to instantly jack up the grand prize amount for the next drawing.

Well, it's official now.... That Florida Lotto 44 million dollar prize has EXPIRED .

The Florida Lottery's website has a Top Prize and Retailer Information Report posted on it. Nobody claimed the prize and the ticket is listed as expired.

Total Prize Amount Awarded field on the report shows $0.00. Good God! G5

I hope they do that. The notice on The Florida Lottery's website says Last day to claim is Monday December 11, 2023 at midnight.

To me that's on Sunday 12/10 when the clock strikes midnight making the date 12/11/2023. G5

Florida Lottery MAY let the winner claim it on Monday. My feeling is if the winner hasn't claimed it by now, they're not going to.

At midnight on Monday December 11th a 44 million dollar Florida Lotto ticket will expire. Because today is Saturday, and the ticket expires at midnight Monday the ticket has effectively expired because the Florida Lottery's offices are closed today and tomorrow.

But if you think that's bad, consider this - a 48 million dollar Florida Lotto ticket expired in May of 2015.
