The problem was that it allowed pages so gigantic that it would hurt the website performance. So instead of that, the printouts directly from the thread pages was vastly improved, to the point that everything is removed from each printed page except the content of the page itself.

There used to be a print button that allowed to print a particular thread - all pages. Ofcourse the threads that have 1000s of posts are troublesome in-terms of breaking browser or too much load on server.

Can We get the print button back?

I believe there are people who use to keep an offline copy of certain threads that are gems; especially one would loose the images overtime from hosting sites and the threads become less useful.
