I always check mine too. Sometimes there's a delay in posting the numbers so I don't check them until the next day, but I always make a point to check them.

There's a $50,000 Powerball that was bought at a store not far from my home that's about to expire. I never buy from that store so I know it isn't mine.

With lots of states now giving large jackpot winners the option of anonymity, interviews are few and far between. They might have checked their ticket right after the drawing and the interviewer just said to justify why they waited to validate their ticket.

I'm curious - What are all your reasons for sometimes not checking your ticket to see if you won? Sometimes I just forget, but I've heard lots of different reasons from people -- sometimes funny, sometimes surprising. Tell me what your reasons are
