I don't know, Stats, Hottmess might be onto something here. Imagine a variation of the Pick5 where the lottery gave an option to add additional Fireball options. You already pay $1 extra for a single Fireball, but let's say $3 extra for a 2nd Fireball or $5 extra for three Fireballs. Leave the payouts alone but adjust the add-on bets so the cost balances out against the odds. They're always looking for way to wring another couple bucks out of us, why not build more options into a existing game... [ More ]

Soundz like maybe YOU misunderstood their Rulez of the Game..

If indeed the Official Winning Numberz were 79762, and the FB wuz 1? Whea do you squeeze such logic outta whut your ticket had?

The FB can replace one number ONLY ..so, how can you justify the remaining four numberz?, of which none were 1

Changing the rulez of the Game only werked for Captain James T. Kirk ...but THAT'Z Hollywould ,.. cauze Holly could..!!

If it worked like that, couldn't you play 00000, 11111, 33333 etc all the way up through 99999 on any given drawing? You know the Fireball's going to be one of 10 digits, so cover them all and have a winner every drawing off a $20 bet.

If it does work that way, I'm moving to Florida tomorrow.

The lottery is paying it and then they have already wrote and implemented rules regarding the fireball and it's use. Cause there were no rules or laws prohibiting multiple fireballs .

That would be a loser if you played 11111, the numbers drawn were 79762. FB only replaces 1 number, so in order for you to win the numbers drawn would had to be 11112, 11113, etc. then you would swap out the 2 or 3 and replace with the FB 1 which would give you a winner.

I bought a pick 5 ticket with fireball on April 4 evening drawing my numbers were 11111 and the fireball drawn that evening was 1. Which would be a winning ticket with fireball. I took it to district office they said it was not a winner. But I am fighting it because all lottery retailer recognized it as a winner with fireball even the lottery field reps recognized it as.
