With the odds of Megamillions at 1:302,575,350.....600 sets are but a drop in the bucket. Even with second prize odds at 1:12,607,306....600 sets is miniscule.

It just shows just how futile it is to try to spend your way to a jackpot.

About 10 years ago I kept track of my numbers for Mega for every easy pick I had bought on excel. I played a lot when it was only a $1. I was curious to see if I theoretically played every set of numbers for each drawing if I would win the jackpot. I got up to a total of around 600 sets of numbers and for the next year or so I looked to see if any of those sets won anything after each draw. Back in 2005, I was playing another states version of Fantasy 5. I noticed a pattern for about 2 - 3 weeks. I was getting 3 numbers consistently, then an occasional 4th number but couldn't get that 5th number to save my soul. Oh of course some ONE was always getting the 5th number and usually taking home the jackpot around $180 - $250K. Then one night a BUNCH of us hit 4 numbers and there was no jackpot winner. Reminds me of a antedote I just heard from a woman in PA. She had a neighbor who bought one ticket a year for the last draw of each year. Same numbers every year.

Couple of years ago he hit for a million.

All second hand info so take for what it's worth.

Anyway CT, I'd track those five historically to see how they perform. Then go back with four and possibly three.

Most of the numbers I play change from draw to draw. I'll key the same number at times. If you're just playing for fun. Nothing wrong with playing those six numbers over and over. But if you dig deep into the data. Repeating numbers, especially a 6/40+ game is low.

I generate new numbers for the wheel every play so changing them is no challenge. The LP Predictions are for a week and I am sometimes surprised how much better some sets have done versus others.
