I think if the clerk is not employed there any longer the issue is handled, and no other action is needed.

If the owner had not corrected the problem, then it would be time to escalate it to the KY Lottery.

I suppose I could contact the KY Lottery and tell them I think a store clerk cheated me, but the owner acted, handed me the ticket with the $10 instant winner and she no longer works at the store. The value of saying what happened here is because several states have games with instant win add-ons and other clerks might try the same thing. When KY had the Five Card Cash game I never bought a ticket when I got gas at Murphy or Kroger.

If the clerk still works there and it's a clear cut case of an attempt to steal a customer's winnings rather than the clerk just being a space cadet, I would report the whole incident to the KY Lottery.

Only you know why you decided to clown around on a serious discussion two lottery savvy players are having. There are several ways to purchase lottery tickets and the most common way is with a lottery terminal. That means at times a monetary interaction with a store clerk you never saw before.... [ More ]

The owner knew exactly what she was trying to do when he saw the extra ticket. If she wasn't fired, they'll have a serious problem because the store is cashing agent.

Plays you're in the money but clerks have the option to turn down the volume or stop it before it starts. Should have added that clerk only works weekends.

Found out I'm not the only player some store clerks are trying to cheat. Their circumstances were different because they asked for a QP with EZ match and I replayed tickets with EZ match. They didn't know what numbers were on the QP so it was easy for a clerk to run another ticket and keep and cash the ticket that won something.

The obvious solution is to purchase the tickets using a Kiosk, but not all stores have them. The sad part is clerks are stealing wins that are usually $2 or $3.... [ More ]

Several states added instant win games to a regular on line game. In Kentucky it's on Cash Ball 225. The regular game is a $1 a line 4/35 + 1/25 and for an extra buck we can play EZ Match. Players must match one or more of the four numbers and/or the bonus number and win the corresponding prize. Prizes are $1 to $500 and a possible $2500 win. The machine plays a tune when the ticket has an instant winner.
