California has no state tax on lottery winnings so if the fix was in , it would make more sense the winning ticket would be sold in a state that deducts state taxes. Vermont would would profit over $100 million had the winning ticket been sold there.

At one time I didn't play until the jackpot reached a certain level or when ticket sales showed it was likely there would be a winner. Now I start playing the drawing before it reaches $1 billion and continue playing until it's won. Considering... [ More ]

what draws people to play the lottery is not the prospect of instant wealth, but the opportunity to imagine yourself as the victim of a vast conspiracy. you can't enjoy wallowing in outrage at the lottery being rigged against you unless you play.
