Attempted scam by a clerk would be a yes. But I already knew how much I won in advance, so when this woman wanted to argue with me. I made her rescan the tickets again,she said, Oh,I am sorry I thought that said 10 not 100 ...

You should have added a response of I don't care at all .... If you'd had, then I'd have voted.

I don't care if anyone has ever attempted to scam me using a lottery scam. I've never been conned out of money by a conman using a lottery con so I don't care about that.

I suppose it's possible that I've been conned out of some money by The Florida Lottery, but I really don't care about that either. I got paid for every winning ticket I presented for payment and that's a good thing.

I replied No, Even though I was e-mailed a lot back in the day (Circa 2015-2020)

I opened them all to read their stories but never clicked on any links.

Most were that you had won a lottery which you have never heard of or obviously played,

and asking for you to send a small fee in order to claim the JP prize.

Never got any phone calls since I never replied

And I've heard of so many people falling for these scams

They said it was a programming error . That's the excuse that's always used. Read the comments in the article.

Can lotteries be programmed? Sure can. Eddie Tipton proved it. Are they ever programmed in the lotteries favor to scam the players? We can wonder but they'll never tell.

The TN issue was from bad programming, not intentional scamming. I considered the last option, lotteries being scams, in my former response.

I wont say its impossible, but lotteries make a great deal of money so there isnt a logical reason to endanger the gold egg laying goose by scamming. Can one say lotteries are scams due to odds of the games? I suppose, but then again, odds arent kept secret. Play at your own risk. Same for casinos. They dont build those big casinos by losing money. It

I play the lottery almost everyday, one MM, one PB, one lucky for life when MM and PB don't have a drawing.

Have I been scammed?

I have not been scammed by a clerk, coz I check my tickets on the app.

I have not been scammed by email or phone.

I have never bought any software or books to help me win the lottery.

Is the scam the lottery itself, I don't know.

Same way I don't know if there is Heaven or Hell.

I haven't been there, so I don't know for... [ More ]

by scam i mean something like a clerk telling you a ticket was not a winner when it actually was, or an email/phone phishing scam saying you won the lottery, or buying some kind of system that promised you'd make a profit but just made you waste a bunch of money on losing tickets.

i don't mean scam as in 'the lottery is rigged against me,' so i included that as a separate answer choice for those who believe the real scam is the lottery itself.
