In NM I go to the lottery commission and they cut a check with the taxes taken out.

We have cashing agents in KY and they will cash up to $5000. My transaction was online so it options were either get a check at lottery headquarters or they would mail.it.

Last year had a $500 winner and it was deposited directly into my lottery account. From there it was simply withdrawing the money into my bank account. Use a debit/checking account for all my online transactions.

In PA, I have yet to win anything above the payout limit, which is $2,500. They will either cut a check on the spot or pay cash if they have it.

You still fill out a claim form for anything over $600, but most retailers can still pay out up to $2,500. The claim system for larger prizes states 8-10 weeks.

The downside of cash payouts is they don't take out the taxes, so they will send a 1099-G and you pay them yourself.

How to collect and how long does it take it take to get paid?

Had an $820 winner playing KY's Online Keno game but it never was put into my account. After freaking out for a couple of minutes saw that the lottery emailed the instructions:
