I have had ticket's that got wet and the number's in Atlantic Canada! That were not legible or the bottom part, was torn off, and ripped!. Where the clerk type's in the bottom serial number's. So the ticket's weren't any good. I have to be very careful with ticket's

I gently fold my ticket/s and put them in my wallet almost immediately after getting them

no excuses for damaging or losing tickets

When I get home from buying tix, they go straight into a desk drawer. There they stay until draw time.

I washed my wallet once and tried drying everything out on paper towels in the microwave. It worked well except for my lottery ticket. It started to burn up the bar code and ticket serial numbers. I took it back to the store and told them what happened. They were able to type enough of the bar code/serial numbers into the lottery machine to cash it. Got my $80.

I won $100 on a lottery ticket but spilled hand sanitizer inadvertently erased, the numbers and I wasn't able to collect my $100. I didn't even know that hand sanitizer erases lottery ticket numbers until it happened to me. Yikes.
