So with classification, just as regression, you need to have a set of draws that are considered a training set, and a set of draws to classify based on the results of that training set.

Based on what your example shows, perhaps 5 years of data would be divided into 4 years of training data and 1 year of testing data.

What you look for is patterns in the classification that hold true in a predictable interval.

Anything that attributes numeric properties to the numbers is most likely not helpful, coincidental at best.

We only have 2 things to work with... the draw history, and to count occurrences over that draw history.

There are countless methods to try, and some have had success, others not so much.

Imagine the set in a pick 3 game, instead of being 0,1,2 3,4,5,6,7,8,9, they were instead coded with letters A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J... all of a sudden root sums, averages and even/odd hold no va... [ More ]
