Any one dollar bet that can win one million dollars is a good bet. I'm not maligning anyone. You have an odd understanding of good bets and what you see as 'bad' bets. Lottery bets in essence are bad bets but just may let some lucky player make a major life changing score. Just for grins when New Hampshire started the first state lottery how much was a ticket and what was the first jackpot? Your first sentence above says it was not a good bet so how many bad bets have been made since that first... [ More ]

I didn't say I expect to win. All I'm saying is that an extra dollar for a 1 in 12 million chance to win a million dollars (or consolation prizes) is not a good bet.

If you want to play it, go right ahead. Just stop maligning people, which is most players, who choose not to. They realize it's a gimmick and choose not to participate.

You seem way more upset about the third dollar not winning than the other '12 million' who actually played it. For all your math knowledge it's curious that you display an expectation of winning. Hope to win, wish to win and dream of winning make sense, expecting to win doesn't. Maybe you're just revealing utter anger towards those who do win.
