Powerball numbers where wild last night. Whole Lotta stuff going on there! I wish they would televise weighting the balls and putting them in the machine before the draw. One can wish though.

With a 2 and a half. timez price increase , the jackpots should increase 2 and 1/2 timez normal, but itz NOT..

I always thought it was the actual amount of all tickets sold.

That is where they get the cash from, right?

I also find it as deceiving people to an extent.

The first jackpot over $1 billion was PB's $1.586 billion annuity in January 2016, and the actual cash prize was $983.5 million. In October 2023 PB advertised a jackpot as an estimated $1.73 billion. Ask yourself one thing. Can the Powers-that-be running the MM keep their word on the $50 Million restart ??

In the fall of 2017 when the matrix change came and we were promised the starting jackpots of $40 Million . Remember the last restart at $40 Million ? 2-14-2020 The blame on Covid, then that subsides 2 years ago...2 YEARS...and not even 1 return to $40 Million ??

I for one, do NOT trust these people and will keep my options open in other opportunities in the games of chance .

I have read it on md lotterys website. Doesn't seem so much greater. Raised the price. And forced multiplier. And a rng bonus. I'm sure that's going to come out lot. Probably once every couple of months. Jackpots used to start at 40 at 2 dollars a ticket before covid I could be wrong . But anyways I see it as a ripoff. And that's just opinion. The percentage of the cash option does not depends on them. It is computed based on the interest rates.

But the computation is actually the inverse. They start with what cash value they have given how much people played. Then, based on the interest rates, they advertise a jackpot amount.

For example, for a cash prize of 100:

- with higher interest rates, they might advertise a jackpot of 200 .... while ....

- with lower interest rate they might have advertised a jackpot of 190.

I always liked the bonus before being placed on the ticket. Kinda exciting to look on the website and see how much extra I won. Now if I win already know the bonus. Either way its really no big deal. But I do see it as them trying to slide the whole game into a random number generated game. Just my opinion though.

The megaplier has always been random. Different people will win different amounts, but anything you win will depend on how many numbers you match and how the megaplier affects that just like it used to.

I can't wait for MM to have the first second prize 10x ($10M )winner.

Not sure how frequently we have a PB $10M Double Play winner.

If MM produces more of such winners than PB does, I see a chance of loyal PB Double Play players shifting loyalty and trying MM.

I actually like the fact that Mega Millions and Powerball are very different now. Mega Millions is now more of a high-stakes game.

Also, I like the random multiplier assigned, because it's kind of fun the see which number was assigned, and hope the line with the higher number hits.

I know some people just hate on the new price, but I enjoy the new game overall. I just play far fewer tickets.
