4 days? That's 8 drawings! That's even easier than 5 drawings.

I just ran my program and it indicates a 50% chance of getting a desired pair within 8 drawings.

You need 10,000 data points and a more stringent definition of statistical success to prove anything. 730 drawings, or any number of drawings really, with a 50% chance of random success, means nothing.

Ok so I did the past year for Ohio. May to May. 28 pair and 01 pair run together in Ohio. 28 is the pair that typically falls first so that's what I went with. 28 pair fell 33 times in the past year and 01 pair fell within 4 days 22 times. There were a few times where 01 fell first and then 28 but I didn't count those. There were also numerous times where 01 fell within a draw or two. Honestly, I never understood the pairs thing... but if you want an important statistic, back test to show how often it occurs. Let's say your pair 67 leads to an 01 within 5 draws... how many times has that happened compared to the total appearances of the 67 pair? This will give you an idea of the consistency of the assertion, and if high enough, could be statistically significant.

I know about the pick2 games. You are not playing pick2. Pick2 is a game in which you pick 2 numbers and must match both of them in the next drawing.

What you are playing is guess 2 of 4, or guess 2 of 3, in the next several drawings. The payoff for those bets is zero.

Pairs do not follow other pairs because they are pre-determined. Pairs follow other pairs because they get randomly selected.

Well actually they do have games like that. PA for one has a pick 2 and a lot of states have front pair/back pair/split pair. Guess you need to brush up on your lottery games. Yes eventually pairs/numbers will fall but to say it's random is absurd. If I guessed 10x based solely off of it following 67x then how's that not a pattern from previous draws? That's all I did. There are patterns, but they exist only in the past. It does you no good for future drawings. That's because these numbers are drawn at random.

You can easily guess 2 of 4 numbers that will show up in one of the next several drawings. That's why the lottery does not offer a game where you win anything should that happen. It's too easy.

Sometimes you just can't talk sense into people. All I know is if it's random then you would never know where to start. I don't even play Indiana but the fact that twice now I've guessed the pair within a few days says there's definitely a pattern and it's definitely not random. Predicting random numbers is a guess. There is no other way around it.

When I wrote The probability of guessing correctly in 5 drawings or fewer is 40%. , I was using probability math. That's where the 40% figure comes from. I didn't just make it up. It means that 40% of the time, one will match at least 2 of 4 numbers in drawings #1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. 60% of the time, one will match 1 or zero of 4 numbers in all five drawings.

Today I wrote a computer program to simulate twice-daily pick3 drawings for a month. I wanted to see how frequently two pairs of digits show up, to demonstrate that picking random numbers for a pick3 drawing will often result in these so-called patterns . The patterns happen, but they are random and unpredictable.

I track my numbers by frequency and position. Then I can tell what is about to hit. T h e mid today was 779. I had the seven due in each position and the 9 was low also. This is one of many methods I use to hit. I use seven to 10 draws .

It happens all the time because it's random. If numbers are being drawn that never repeat, then they are not independent random drawings. Consistently non-repeating three digit numbers can only be the result of a person typing away, picking numbers are always different, making sure no following pairs or triples etc ever happen.

I just look for a single pair and then see if it follows consistently with the pair I picked. If it doesn't then I move to another pair until I find the pairs that work off of each other if that makes sense. You should know by looking at a couple draws if the pairs lined up. Great question! Basically I just break it down into pairs and look at them all and what follows. 01x was the most consistent so that's the one I went with. I don't study Indiana so it's a quick look and see but every state has these same patterns. Find pairs and start searching for what's a consistent follower

Funny you mention QP because there's another system that tells the truth. Go buy a ticket with 3 on it box play. Look for a cluster of the same digit. That digit usually hits. Because as I've stated it's not random. Ohio got 249 and 349. PA was going to get one of those two numbers and as a bonus they got a 3 for their wild ball as well so it was a double win. Patterns of random numbers are just that -- they are random. If a pick 3 game drew one straight combination exactly once every 1000 drawings, then you could draw a conclusion that the three digits are not being drawn independently. Such is not the case. Sure, random numbers seem to follow patterns ... which of these three, a pair, etc... but all those patterns are random and they are all unpredictable... because they're random!

Trips are 000 111 222 etc..and false trips are mirror pairs that make up the whole number 005 055 116 166 227 277 etc. I won $5000 on triple 1s by knowing that 218 was going to bring them and last month I won $3000 on 419 by knowing what pairs bring it. People can say it's random all they want but it's just not true. Sometimes it's harder to catch a win because the lottery will switch draws or hold a number. There are too many patterns and coincidences for it to be random.

What is trips/false trips? I'm curious....... I always see grouping of balls in mm and pb. I tell people and they think I'm goofy. And I would think in the rules to these games. There's some kinda legal jargon. That says malfunction voids play. Or something in the realm of that. Like they have at casinos. Who knows though. But I do know this I been playing for over 20 years and i used to play all kinds of games up to about 2 years ago. And never won anything to talk about.

I have plenty of evidence to prove it and the only reason why people can't sue the lottery is because they can adjust the drawings at anytime so it looks random. Imagine putting 10 balls in a bucket and pulling them out. Do that 10 times to get 3 digit numbers. That's what random looks like. I see a lot of posts like these and I always have the same response...be glad that it's rigged because of it were completely random then not one single system,rundown, TTT or any other method would be anywhere close consistently like they are now. They keep it rigged so people keep playing. If it were completely random then people would stop playing and they would lose money. Think about that. Pairs bring other pairs which isn't random. Counting cards is legal but the casino doesn't like it because it gives the player an edge over the house.

The lottery, or any other game with independent drawings (roulette, craps, any slot machine) cannot be overcome by the players by counting because there is nothing to count with independent drawings. Wins are based solely on luck, not skill.
