Of course, that makes perfect sense. They chose a store in California and selected one of the tickets purchased to be the winner. They placed the winning ticket's numbers in the hopper (removing all the other numbers) and then turned on the blower to have their drawing . All just to encourage more people to play MM, a game that people were going to play anyway. Lol

The other day I overheard a few of the Crickets talking about a cousin that crawled under the carpet at the Lottery Place. Cousin Rickety said that there was just one guy sitting at a table with a keypad and a small monitor. He saw numbers rolling by on the monitor. What's wrong with that? It's called luck. And probably across town there are stores that don't sell big winners as often. The store close to my house sold a Roadrunner cash winner for over 300k years ago. The lottery gave them a sign to post in the store. I haven't heard of any wins close to that in this store since then which was years ago.

Question are the stores busy with lottery players trying to get big wins like the ones you mentioned

Are these wins specific to pb or mm? Or from the local lottery in your state? I can go approximately a block from my house and there's about 10 places the sell lottery. And in my zip code I'd say around 75 retailers. And I dunno and the fact you post said approximately To me that's kinda a quess. An exact amount would be better. I googled when you posted and could not find an exact amount. Either. Just the approximate.

The closest stores to me that sell lottery tickets are all about 4/10 of a mile from me. Two liquor stores and a Safeway. One of the liquor stores used to be a 7/11. Years ago the 7/11 had a 250K and a 500K winner. I don't know if the other two stores ever had a big winner. If I want to go a mile to a 1.5 miles there are 4 more stores to chose from. the cut off time on the west coast is 3 hours earlier by the clock than the cut off time on the east coast. you're on the east coast where the cut off time is late at night, when only people who are up to no good are still out and about. but on the west coast it's right after dinner time. so, it's not strange that some california winners were bought near cut off time. in fact, it's probably a very common time to be out getting tickets.

The winning ticket was from Kentucky, and Kentucky hasn't had a winner in a long time. So what? Shouldn't it be the opposite, that they're due for a winner? (not that it would make any difference, as the lottery doesn't pick a state to win, though that's another conspiracy theory)
