And finally in Excel, the formula

=BASE(decimal_number, 5, [minimum_digits])

Will convert the decimal number into a quinary number, with [minimum digits] being optional to pad a number with leading zeroes.

As an example

=BASE(150,5) would produce 1100

Whereas

=BASE(150,5,6) would produce 001100

def decimal_to_quinary(decimal_num):

if decimal_num == 0:

return 0

quinary_digits = []

while decimal_num 0:

remainder = decimal_num % 5

quinary_digits.append(str(remainder))

decimal_num //= 5

return .join(quinary_digits[::-1])
