Ok, so you are not actually using wheels. That's where things were getting a bit confusing...

So, each, let's call them combination groups (as they are not really wheels), say groups of 15 combinations for instance, equals a particular sum and you also ensure there's no duplicate combinations among them and that all 49 numbers appear amongst those combinations and each combination meets your FD/BD requirments.

I use 31 most populous sum groups. Each group has 20 wheels with 15 tickets (lines) each.

There are strict rules for wheel patterns:

1) In a wheel for a sum, say 160, all tickets will have that sum of their numbers, e.g. 9,12,21,33,40,45.

2) All tickets in the wheel must be unique, no duplicates allowed.

3) All 49 numbers must be present in the wheel; their distribution does not have to be balanced (and generally it is not).

If you are interested in GH software I suggest you goto their web site and have a look around... I am not a purveyor of GH software, just a simple user for the purpose of sanity checking various algorithms and lotto history databases...

Actually not, I've never used GH software, or any other third party software for that matter, always my own, starting from, based on GW-Basic, rather clumsy and very simple, creation.

I know very little about GH software, only whatever was discussed about it in LP, which was seldom far between.

The screens displayed earlier come from Python shell output.

The idea of sums comes from Pick 3 where sums are wid... [ More ]

I use sums as a filter in a 6/44 lottery... I see from your screen shots from above that you are using GH software...

There are 2859 sample drawings from this lotto...

Numbers in this sample that are within the GH Balanced Sum of: 70.51%... That Range is: 104 to 165...

Numbers in this sample that are within one standard deviation: 66.00%... That Range is: 106 to 162...

Interesting that GH Balanced Sum is so close to one standard deviation...

In May I could play only last 4 draws.

Here are the results:

There was 1 winner (4 numbers) and some change (1x3 and 4x2+). This gave the total of $105 won against $120 played, with ROI at 87.5%, within expected range between 70% % 120%.

Playing the best of the best strategy.

When I ventured into this new methodology I intended to increase ROIs from my previous 30-40% average range into 50-60% range. It looks like this methodology can easily exceed this.

For a wheel to reach 70+% ROI level in 25 draws it must have several 4 number winners. It cannot get there by only 2+ 3 number winners, no statistical chance. Higher than 4 prizes are excluded from this ROI. Below is an example of what I mean:

All lotteries will have their own dynamics so comparisons will always differ.

Originally I planned to go with best sums from actual BC49 draws. But then I reconsidered. Now I play sums from 135 to 165 from all 649 possible combinations.

There are to criteria for selection:

1) 50 draws ROI must be 60% or more

2) ROI for 25 draws must be 70% minimum (I tightened this condition as there were too many candidates with 60%).

Of these only the best 2 are chosen.

I Checked the sums From Ontario 49 and BC 49 via A+

The results are pretty well the same averages (Sums 116 thru Sums 184)

Here are the results for both drawings thru May 24th.

For myself I think I'd start leaning a bit towards the 116-150 sums as 1 of the filters.

There are too many other filters involved in choosing numbers to play at this point.

No. The number in parenthesis is the wheel number. For example:

S137-T15-wheel(17) - means that all lines in the wheel have the sum 137, the wheel has 15 lines (tickets) and 17 is the wheel identifier; for each sum I created 20 wheels with identifiers from 1 to 20.

If so ,there are many more possible combos to play?

After filtering sums I ended up with 6 - 7 K of suitable combinations that met all required
