This is a linear system of equations and can be solved with simple Linear Algebra techniques. The solution vector is x as follows. The solution coincides with the previous reply. Interestingly, a linear system will resolve to one of the following solution outcomes: exactly one solution (which is our case), no solutions, or infinitely many solutions.

So If I am reading this right, a bean burrito price of $5 satisfies everything.

A $5 bean burrito means a $2 Chicken Taco.

It also means a beef burrito is 1/2 of a bean burrito, so that is $2.50

Multiplying $2 and $2.50 = $5

Making the Jumbo Nacho meal $2+$2.50+$5 = $9.50

No fancy formula, just started with a guess (wrong of course) @ $4 and worked up in 0.25 increments until something made sense.

a chicken taco costs $3 less than a bean burrito. a beef burrito costs half as much as a bean burrito. the price of a bean burrito is the same as multiplying the prices of a chicken taco and beef burrito. the jumbo nacho combo meal costs as much as getting one each of a chicken taco, beef burrito, and bean burrito. how much is the jumbo nacho combo meal
