I personally think Pick 4 Double in box form is the best bet in the daily lottery games.

There are 50% Pick 4 singles, there are 43% Pick 4 Doubles.

A Pick 4 Double Box pays $400 at store, online a Pick 4 Double Box Pays $750. These payouts alone are much better than Pick 3.

With a Pick 4 Double you are still only choosing 3 digits like Pick 3. You just have the additional decision of playing 1 of the 3 digits twice.

Lets say you narrow you next play to 4 digits. This results in

a lot of people here don't play pick 3 at all because even a straight hit is peanuts. if the game is not interesting to you anymore, stop playing it.

For many years, my goal has been picking one straight combo. I had considered that a box hit meant I was still wrong with the attempt.

These days, instead of spending that $1 on a straight shot, I go 0.50/0.50 because boxes do happen more frequently than straight hits. I agree that it is not exciting, but when I limit my budget to $14 a week (Pick 3 mid day and evening), that $40 (or $80) leads to a few weeks on the house.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but i assume most people are losing more than they win. I mean i don't assume...

I know that's how it is because I've been playing for a while and been active here for years.

So a box hit isn't worth celebrating for me. I have many times hit box and never bothered to mention it in the threads I frequent.

I play to win big. I see other people celebrate each box hit like it's a huge hit...when it's just recouping some of the recent losses.
