I believe that most people that have won the jackpot did not have a lucky run that built up to their win.

Something like one week they matched 2 numbers, a few weeks later 3 numbers, a month later 4 numbers and after a while the jackpot.

They most probably are players just like you and me who one day got luck on their side and woke up on the other side of the rich list

I got my one PB ticket for today and my one MM ticket for Tuesday's draw.

Just the second prize of either is a big win.

The jackpot, even a better win.

Many people are winning larger amounts on mega millions. A $10 win can easily be $40. The goal was to differentiate the two large jackpot games. Keeping them the same price and similar matrix doesn't achieve that.

While I can't see the Measly Millions surviving the $5 price tag. It will be interesting to see if/when the $750M jackpot comes into existence for the frenzy purchases to begin. MM jackpot is $497M and PB is $160M, might be interesting to see which gets the most action.

Will the anti MM crowd go for the lesser PB jackpot, most of them not even springing for the extra dollar of the Powerplay?

It should be interestihg to watch.
