Apparently they are continuing to update the databases for both the p3 and p4 . They are posting on the NM website and charging for tickets the machine won't print. If a clerk is unaware then the slip is fed in t h e machine and charges for a ticket the the system won't print.

The current contractor had a big sell also. Alot of fanfare with high tech,state-of-the-art etc. But t h e track record I saw was tickets misprinted with wrong dates. . And other mis prints and several errors. Hopefully the new equipment will be better .

I would have been upset too. It seems like the lottery clerk refused to put in 1131 in the system and 1131 came up! Lakerben lost out on $15,000 because of the lottery clerk! Laker is under reacting IMHO. He comes off as mildly upset. I'd be furiously livid

I just went to the circle k an hour ago. I handed my pick 4 slip with three lines of 1131 straight to the cashier. He ran it and it said no transaction. No p3, p4 probably for weeks! Bummer ! We'll 1131 hit! I would have won $15,000! This week since they have been non operational I've lost over $25k.

Nm all of a sudden shut down the p3,p4. They said new machines are coming in March. I suppose too many people were winning. I did. But, the machines are erratic with incorrect dates etc. So maybe the new ones will be better.

It's primarily because they perceive an increased ticket price as bringing in more money. There is a certain percentage of the population that plays the lottery compulsively and if they offer a variety of $5 minimum price tickets, then the overall revenue increases. At least that's what it looks like on paper.

I also think getting rid of the $2 Cash4life for the $5 Millionaire For Life game is a bad idea. What is up with the lottery getting rid of $2 games and replacing them with $5 games? First it was Mega millions and now it's $2 Cash4life being replaced by the $5 Millionaire For Life. We are currently in a recession and more than doubling the price from $2 to $5 is just not it. It was an interesting game, I had the ten years of data since it came to PA, and it was a good alternative to the weak low tier prize structure of the state run $2 tickets of Cash 5 and Match 6.

I do not think any of the players wanted to swap this for a $5 game.

I will try the new one once, on June 11th, 2028 when I have the 870 draws of data to run some analysis on it.

On February 21st Cash4life will end. Cash4life was a fun and easy game and I will truly miss it. Just having to choose from four megaballs was truly unique and fun and easy, one caveat was that you got nothing for choosing just the megaball, for example if you pick 10, 19, 20, 32 and 33 with a megaball of 4 and 2,7,24, 31, and 35 comes up with a megaball of 4 you don't win anything for choosing the winning megaball.
