if you win a hundred million dollars, and you have a functioning brain, you aren't going to spend your time wondering what other rich strangers think about you. what a person with hundred million dollars has in common with a person with 0 dollars is they both have a very easy time avoiding unwanted interactions with old money snobs.

Not all of old money was born into it. There are those who started with not much and built very successful businesses, for example Sam Walton, Walmart. What about those who came here from other countries a long time ago with very little money and built very successful businesses

I've heard of the Old money hates new money, phrase myself and about the Old money hates lottery winners because they didn't do anything to earn the money, thing, Old money who was born into wealth didn't do anything to earn the money ironically, they were just born into the wealth. At least the lottery winners invested $1-5 in order to be able to wealthy. Technically the lottery winners did more to earn their wealth than the old money who were just born into the wealth.

If I won a huge lottery jackpot, I am not moving to a rich neighborhood.

Should I move, it would be to a middle class area.

Plus no one would know my source of wealth because they won't see anything that suggests wealth

A lot of descendants in old money families have made their own way, but I think the root of the issue is that a lot of old money are raised to think their snip doesn't stink. Something exists that I can't recall ever reading about here at The Lottery Post, so I thought I'd start this thread so members can comment on it.

Old Money (wealthy people with a long history of their family having big money like The Kennedy's or Rockefellers) ) does not like New Money. (Anybody that has new found wealth)
