I enjoy belonging to a pool since it gives me far more chances to win the lottery than I ever could get playing on my own. I never want to organize one though. I do not want the responsibility nor do I want to hunt people down for payments.

The one thing I really like about the one I currently belong to is the fact I do not have to worry about how big it gets since I can buy multiple shares. This way I can control how much I am trying to win.

It seems an ideal way to organize a pool.

I seen to many horror stories on t.v. with pools. And I have been getting close lately. Real close..... Hopefully soon. Twenty years of playing the same numbers. I really don't wanna split with someone at this point. Just my opinion though. Good luck if your playing

Right now am in this weird pool.

We never seem to agree what to buy, when to buy, how to buy and how, if we win the jackpot, we are going to split the winnings.

And it's just me in the pool.

Can you imagine if it's more people than that

Just me. One time I tried to join a very small lottery pool (total two people) but the other person forgot to purchase the ticket before the cut-off time.

4-7 participants worked for my coworkers decades ago. If you didn't bring in a ticket for the drawing because you were out sick or on vacation, you had to have one of the group members pick one up for you for that particular drawing. Should you forget to bring in a ticket, you did not receive any share of the winnings. With only 2 draws a week only a $1 each back then, we sometimes just bought an advanced draw for 2 weeks($4). That's good advice and maybe have each participant sign their copy of the lottery ticket.

I ran a pool at the furniture store I worked at several years ago. Had 8-10 people. I would buys tics and text a pic of the tics to the members. Any winnings went back into buying extra tics. Alas, never had any large wins.

Wuz in a Lottery Pool once..A member absconded with remaining funds after we'd played a few times ... Soo ,.. NOOO MOOE ...

It wuz a blessing in dizguise .. Imagine whut may've happened had we won some real money.!

If you run a pool make copies of the tickets and hand them out to each member before the drawing. It avoids all the drama if someone wins with their own ticket.

I chose just me. I don't need any lottery drama like what happened with Philip Tsostos when he won the lottery and his coworkers sued him each for a cut of his winnings because they had participated in a lottery pool with him. Philip claimed he bought a separate lottery ticket aside from the pool's ticket and claimed that his solo lottery ticket was the one that won not the lottery pool ticket. It was a huge mess.
