We tend to notice and remember the massive jackpot winners from prominent areas, while the thousands of losing tickets bought in those same neighborhoods go completely unnoticed.

Well, Statistically speaking,..most of the winning jackpotz oughtta come from the areaz buyin the most QP ticketz ...since statistically QPz makeup the majority of winning ticketz...

No, the neighborhood doesn't matter. What does matter though is that wealthier people can afford to cut their odds by buying multiple tickets per draw.

The only think that might make it luckier is that if you find cash, a wallet, jewelry, etc. in the parking lot it might be more (valuable) than on the poor side of town, and that benefits you because you get a reward for returning it or just keep it all.

For scratchers, I do not have a clue.

For Powerball, Mega Millions, and other draw games the only thing that matters is the numbers you have on the ticket, not where you buy it. The luck part comes into play when you choose the numbers to put on the tickets.

somebody said they win more when the buy lottery tickets in an upscale neighborhood rather than their own. do richer neighborhoods have a luckier vibe? if you think no, do you think some other habits are luckier than others
