If any of those six second place winners were sold in Florida, info as to whether or not they were quick picks is available on The Florida Lottery's website. But none were sold in Florida so that's no help. Even if just one was sold in Florida, you still wouldn't know anything about the other five states

Probably the almost 600 million dollar advertised jackpot had something to do with producing six second place winners.

The jackpot always has something to do with all of the prizes because it's what sells tickets, but in this case it only resulted in sales of a bit under 25 million tickets. That's 2.14 times the average number of tickets it should take for each 2nd place winner (11,688,054 ), so it's enough to expect 2.14 winners if everything is random. Six second place winners is definely atypical. (Excluding April 29th, 2026) Zero, one or two second place winners is what usually happens. Roughly a third of all tickets sold are purchased with The PowerPlay option added. Probably the almost 600 million dollar advertised jackpot had something to do with producing six second place winners.

Second Prizes: 1 from Michigan, 1 from Mississippi, 1 from North Carolina, 1 from Pennsylvania, 1 from Texas, 1 from Washington.

From the draw yesterday 7/25. That was a decent amount of second prizes from 6 different states.

Wish they had the power play on it, but 1M before taxes is still a decent amount.
